I'm a thirty something mother of 2 I'm a jeans and trainer kind of a girl I love cups of tea (milk with 2!) I met my husband when I was 18 I don't have a middle name I would give anything for a lie in (lie in = anything past 6am)
As soon as my daughter was born I knew I wanted to capture everything about her, babies and children grow and change so quickly I didn't want to forget a thing. I wanted to record all of her firsts and everything in between. I started studying photography when I was 16 at college so it has been a passion of mine for sometime however, once my daughter arrived something clicked I knew I wanted to take photographs which tell her story and now I'd love the opportunity to tell yours.
I am a natural light photographer, this means I do not work from a studio choosing only to photograph people in their own homes or an outdoor location. It is great when a client has a location in mind which is special to them and their family. As a child I spent many weekends at West Wittering beach with my mum, dad and sister, photo's of me taken here are some of my favourites because of how they make me feel. When I look at them I can almost feel the sand between my toes and the taste of a 99 ice-cream!
My style is relaxed and fun. I am an easy going person which allows your family to feel comfortable and be themselves. I'm mainly an observer, every now and then I will subtly get you to move into the best positions and the best light. I love to capture special moments as they unfold naturally, my aim is to capture lots of smiles, giggles and the connections your family has with each other. I am very patient and happy to take time for everyone to relax, my session times are only a guide. As a mum myself I have a good understanding of the needs of a newborn and the struggles that a threenager can bring to the table! If you want proof look at my blog from a few years ago. I am passionate about taking photographs that I hope you will love, I get a real buzz when I'm off to meet clients and create something which I know will be treasured for years to come. I also feel very privileged that I get invited into people homes and lives and in particular that of newborns, those first few weeks are so precious.
