These two kids are my world, there is an age gap of exactly 4.5 years. My daughter tells me she loves her brother but she often tells me that she never wanted a baby! Sometimes she says that a girl baby might have been better! The reason she has 'issues' with the little man is not due to his gender it is due to his behaviour......you know crying, dribbling and filling his nappy - all the things that babies do.
I would love to be sat here telling you how amazing it is to see the bond between the two of the growing and how amazing it is to watch the love that my daughter has for her baby brother but that wouldn't be the truth. What I can tell you is that when she thinks we are not watching I know she is keeping an eye out for him making sure he is ok and she'll play and talk with him, she also becomes very protective of him when we are around other people. On the other hand my son adores his big sister, his face lights up when she enters the room and he tracks her like no one else. Perhaps one day (hopefully sooner rather than later) when they are both bigger and they can play together she'll realise it's not so bad to have a younger brother. For now though I am preparing myself for what I see as the next hurdle, he is getting closer to becoming mobile and once he is able to touch her toys I know there is going to be some major trouble ahead!

A lovely afternoon spent with my little girl among the magical sea of bluebells. She wanted to bring along her rabbit mask which caught the attention of many passers by and made them smile. When I decide to take my camera out with us I find it always goes better if there is a promise of cake at some point during our outing and this day was no different. I brought the cake for us to share, it was a big slice and I was lucky enough to be given a couple of mouthfuls. I am looking forward to spending more days like this with my daughter - we just need less rain and more sun!
In the deep (not so) dark wood there were a sea of Bluebells and we were sure we heard the sound of the Gruffalo in the distance. Joining me on my Gruffalo hunt in Caversham were this lovely family and their gorgeous dog Spencer. These photographs were taken around May last year. I think the bluebells are going to flower a bit earlier this year, I am really looking forward to exploring some new locations to find the perfect Bluebell meadow to use as my backdrop.
To mark this little ones 1st birthday we decided to go for a walk in a poppy field. I took photograph's of her this time last year when she was just 2 weeks old. Having only just woken from a nap she wasn't too sure at first but once we got going she soon warmed up and I even manged to get a snap of her impressing me with some of her walking.
