Bekonscot is a model village & railway which can be found in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. I remember visiting it as a child so was super excited (maybe even more than my daughter) to go there on a family day out recently.
As soon as we entered her little face lit up along with lots of "wow's" and "amazing's". The next couple of hours were spent admiring the displays and searching for trains "choo! choo!"

First family holiday abroad, first building of a sandcastle at a big sand pit aka the beach, first pair of flip flops, first temporary tattoo, first time visiting a castle and meeting a 'princess', first fall that required a special plaster and first lie in until 11am!
To mark this little ones 1st birthday we decided to go for a walk in a poppy field. I took photograph's of her this time last year when she was just 2 weeks old. Having only just woken from a nap she wasn't too sure at first but once we got going she soon warmed up and I even manged to get a snap of her impressing me with some of her walking.
This little lady has the best Wendy house at the bottom of her garden, its so good it even has an upstairs!
I think it makes a fantastic backdrop for this set of imagination photo's. Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee, Little Jackie paper loved that rascal puff, And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff, oh Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail Jackie kept a lookout perched on puffs gigantic tail, Noble kings and princes would bow whenever they came, Pirate ships would lower their flag when puff roared out his name, oh Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee A dragon lives forever, but not so girls and boys Painted wings and giants's rings make way for other toys. One grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more And Puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain
Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane. Without his lifelong friend, Puff could not be brave So, Puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave There has been A LOT of rain in the last month. This has given me the chance to take more photos of my little ray of sunshine, so I thought I would share some of my favourites with you. She is growing up fast, where has my little baby gone. Making cakes and eating cakes is serious business! Peek-a-boo
Autumn is a great time to take photos. The change in light makes walking through trees surrounded by fallen leaves feel magical. Throw in a pair of red wellies and a pair of wings and watch the fairy tale unfold.
My daughters current favourite word is "hat".
She loves them and knows how to wear them well. Here you can see her in one of mine! |
